Frequently Asked Questions

How soon can I be seen after I make a call?

Although the practice is very busy, all requests for appointments are reviewed promptly by the practice manager and Assoc Prof Jaber to adequately prioritize them. For urgent appointments (cancer, bleeding, severe pain or for all other reasons put by the patients or the referring doctors including logistic or social reasons) – an appointment can be given within 72 hours.

Can I request an appointment for myself or a family member over the phone or I need to present a referral first?

We are very happy to receive direct phone call from our patients or their relatives to request an appointment, but you will be asked about the reason to see the surgeon, so that we can prioritise the appointment time according to clinical urgency. It is advisable that you get your referral to us before the appointment if possible.

Can I send a question – asking about the fees or anything else before the appointment?

Absolutely, feel free to contact us – as all our incoming messages are revised multiple times each day and our staff will reply promptly to answer all your queries. Most common questions are answered within this website.

After I attend the first consultation, how soon can I get operated on?

After finishing all the required investigations and finalising the surgical plan, your clinical priority will be specified and if your case is urgent, we will take all the immediate measures required to facilitate your urgent surgical intervention. For privately insured patients, we have free access to multiple private hospitals.

I live interstate, can I communicate electronically first to determine a preliminary plan with the surgeon?

Certainly, our clinic deals with a good number of interstate and international patients. Ensure you contact us beforehand, as this is very necessary before you plan your trip. Assoc Prof Jaber can also get in touch if needed to answer your questions as well.
